Placing an order online
You don’t have to, registration is optional. It is worth registering, though, because it brings a lot of benefits and joy! Registration only takes a moment, but makes shopping easier. You can view your order history and order processing status. Your address information is pre-filled and (with your permission), we can send you a notification if your forgot something in your shopping cart and you can continue shopping later. If you wish, you will also receive the latest information and offers from Ruohonjuuri by email.
The online store will automatically list the delivery points closest to the delivery address, if this information is provided by our logistics partner.
For example, if you want to receive an order at a pick-up point or parcel locker near your workplace, enter that address to the Delivery Address field, and you will get a list of pick-up points near your workplace. Then, click the Continue to Payment button. Under Billing Address, select 'Use a different billing address' and fill in your own address as the billing address.
Ruohonjuuri currently ships orders to the EU.

For example, if the products have not yet been packed, new products can be added. You will receive a payment link by email for paying the missing amount. We will pack the products for your order once the balance has been paid.
If you have already paid for your order, but still want to cancel, please contact our customer service.
Delivery
After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. You will be notified by email when we have sent the parcel. You can use the tracking code on the shipping confirmation to track your parcel. You will receive an email and/or a text message when the parcel is ready for collection from the delivery address.
For Budbee shipments, use the page that opens from the link in the delivery text message to track your parcel. You can also download Budbee App to track your parcels. Budbee service is available in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands at the moment.
An estimate of the packing time is given in the shopping cart page. Usually, the shipments are collected and packed for delivery within 1–2 business days and country-specific delivery times (in addition to our processing time) are given in the shipping policy.
If your order is lost during shipment, please contact customer service so that we can request a clarification from the shipping company.
The Ruohonjuuri webshop sells electronic gift cards for its online store. If you only buy an online store gift card, no shipping costs will be charged at the checkout. The gift card will be sent to your email address immediately after you have payed for it.
We want to ensure that our customers' products arrive intact. For this reason, we have to add slightly more packaging for some products due to their weight or fragility. We may also need to protect products that are more fragile from larger products in the same order. So we try to pack as lightly as possible, but also have to take account of any impacts that may occur during transportation.
The Geami paper used in the packaging is FSC certified and the Fillpak paper is recycled Kraft paper. The cardboard boxes we use for packaging have a 40–70% recycling rate. Our packaging material is 100% recyclable, 100% biodegradable and based on 100% renewable materials. All materials are produced in the EU.
Returns and Complaints
Contact customer service and we will look into the matter. For example, we can send a new product or refund the amount payed for the product.
Products sold by the online store have a 14-day right of return. Right of return only applies to new, unopened, unused and salable products in the original packaging.
Product returns are free of charge. If you would like to return a product, please contact our customer service by phone or email for advice on how to return it. When making a product return, you must print out the return forms sent to you by customer service. Please include at least your name and the order number to which the product return applies. Product returns are free of charge.
Products
In general, the product reviews that appear on our website are collected through a review request sent to customers who have purchased the product. The review request is sent to those who have purchased a product from the online store and to those store customers who have registered their loyal customer card at the time of purchase. It is possible to attach a photo or video to the product review. You can easily identify reviews from customers who have purchased the product by the tag "Verified Buyer" next to the name that appears in the review. If the customer does not want the name to appear in the online shop, it is also possible to leave an anonymous review via the product card. In this case, the review will not be marked with "Verified Buyer".
We follow our own product selection principles when we choose the products that are being sold in our stores and webshop. In order to be selected, a product must be of high quality and ethically sustainable. In the case of food, we also value products that are organic and additive-free with high nutrient density.
We require a Natural Cosmetics certificate for cosmetic products. However, we understand that small, local businesses may not be able to afford certifications. For this reason, in exceptional cases we can accept non-certified products if their ingredients meet the requirements of Natural Cosmetics certification.
We also believe in fair trade, practiced with respect for people and the natural world. It is important for us to understand the backgrounds of our products. Read more about our product selection principles.
Read the instructions for suppliers on our website and send a product sample and price list to our office. Our product panel reviews all samples once a week. You can expect us to contact you by email or phone within around two weeks after you sent the samples.
The search results aim to give you the best match for your keyword and are ranked by relevance. You can filter the search results yourself with the menus on the left or sort the products by popularity.
We try our best to keep sufficient quantities of products in stock. However, demand can sometimes be greater than estimated. In such cases, we will replenish our stock within 1–7 business days.
You can get an email reminder when an out-of-stock product becomes available again. Click the ‘Email me’ button on the product page of the out-of-stock product in order to get the notification.
If there is a delay in a product becoming available, this probably indicates a supply disruption affecting the supplier. In such a case, you should contact our customer service, so that we can give you details on when the product will next be available.
Our organic products are certified and monitored. Each country has a national agency that supervises organic production. The Ruokavirasto (Finnish Food Authority) handles this task in Finland.
Yes, you can. You can buy gift cards of various values from our online store.
The icons indicate the product features, for example whether the product is organic, vegan or made in Finland. Click the icon to find out what it means.
Discounts
Enter the discount code in ‘Discount coupon’ when in the shopping cart view, and click ‘Apply’. The website will automatically calculate the discount in the total prices shown in the shopping cart view.
Possible reasons why the discount code doesn't work:
The code has expired: most discount codes have an expiry date, after which they can no longer be used.
The code is incorrect: check that you typed the code in correctly. For example, it is easy to confuse zero with the letter ‘o’.
No discount is given on products that are already discounted. A percentage discount is only given for regular-priced products. If discount products are placed in the shopping cart, the discount code will not add a further discount. In such cases, the discount code will be calculated only for regular-priced products in the shopping cart.
In special discount campaigns, we may limit the use of the discount code to once per customer. This means that the code can only be used by customers who have registered or logged in, and only once.

Please note that gift card codes for the online store must be entered in the same field in the shopping cart. You can use both a discount code and gift card in the same order.
Ruohonjuuri Loyalty Program
You can earn "cones" (instead of "points") from every purchase you make online or in one of Ruohonjuuri stores in Finland. 250 collected cones = 5 € discount from your purchase. In addition, our partners in Finland offer additional benefits and discounts from different well-being services. The list of the partners and their offers can be found on our Finnish website.
Anyone at least 18 years of age with an email address can join the Ruohonjuuri Loyalty Program. At the moment, you can join as a regular customer in the Ruohonjuuri online store by creating an account.
You earn cones by placing an order on Ruohonjuuri.com online store, logged in to your customer account. For each euro spent, you can get one cone, e.g. your get 12 cones for purchase of the amount 12.55€.
Cones can also be collected in other ways:
- creating an account online: 25 cones
- following Ruohonjuuri Instagram account: 10 cones
- following Ruohonjuuri Facebook page: 10 cones
- writing a product review for the purchased product via an email review request: 20 cones
- adding a photo or video to a review via review request email: 10 cones (once the photo or video has been approved for publication)
- recommending Ruohonjuuri online store to a friend: 250 cones when your friend creates an account and spends more than 50 euros on Ruohonjuuri.com.
First you need to create an account to Ruohonjuuri webshop. Sign in to your account when making purchases and your cones will automatically accumulate to your account. You will see see them at the checkout when you are logged in.
Cones from Ruohonjuuri online store purchases will be added to the account once the online store order has been processed and you have received the shipping notification for your order.
Cones from purchases are not recorded retrospectively if the purchase is made without logging in to the account.
The current cone balance can be viewed in the online store when you are logged in to your account. If you subscribe to our newsletter, you will also see your cone balance at the top of our newsletter in the future.
You can see the accumulated cones at the online store checkout and you can choose the number of cones to be used at one time from the drop-down menu (in batches of 250 cones or 5 € discount). The discount will be shown automatically in checkout.
You can use the cone discount for items that are on sale (reduced price), but you cannot combine the cone discount with another discount code.

The cones are valid for 12 months from the latest transaction (earning or spending cones).

By rating the product on your email via the link and adding a picture/video, you can accumulate a maximum of 30 cones in addition to the cones earned from the purchase.
