Ruohonjuuri Grants and Ruohonjuuri Prize
The Ruohonjuuri Fund awards one prize each year, as well as several grants, for development and research projects, innovations, and activities that promote the wise use of energy and raw materials, the development of a society in balance with nature, and the equitable use of the earth's natural resources.
The Ruohonjuuri prize and grants are a min. of 1,000 and a max. of 5,000 euros. Recipients of the prize or grants may be individuals, communities, working communities, or civic movements. You can either present an award or apply for a grant for the same project or recipient.
In 2021, the prize and grants will focus on activities that prevent the loss of nature and contribute to the conservation of biodiversity and/or a carbon-neutral future.
Action is now needed to prevent the loss of nature!
This year, the Ruohonjuuri prize and grants will support activities that fight against the loss of nature by promoting the conservation of biodiversity and/or creating a carbon-neutral future. Preserving biodiversity is one of the fates of humanity - and now the action is needed to defend biodiversity!

You can either present a prize or apply for a grant for the same project or recipient. The Ruohonjuuri Prize can be submitted and a grant applied for using the forms below.
Submissions and applications are addressed to Ruohonjuuri Oy's Board of Directors so that they are received at Ruohonjuuri Oy's office by 7:00 pm on September 7, 2021, at the address: Salomonkatu 17 B, 00100 Helsinki or by e-mail: hallinto@ruohonjuuri.fi.

The application period for the prize and grants for 2021 ends on September 7. and will be awarded on 14.10.2021
